Meet Briana. She has been in foster care for 5 years. Briana is completing her last year of high school. She is excited to be a senior this year. She is currently 6th out of 70 students, placing her in the top ten percent of her graduating class. She plans on pursuing a degree in higher education and later transferring to a university out of state. She is not quite set on a degree at the moment but she is highly interested in law school.
When she is not busy finishing up her senior year and running the show at her high school as the Public Relations Director of her senior class; in her free time she likes to catch up on sleep and enjoys being around her closest friends.
Briana also takes out the time to attend meetings and workshops provided by Project LIFE. Briana has been a participant of Project LIFE for two years. Her favorite part of Project LIFE is being able to network and meet new people. In one word Briana describes Project LIFE as “helpful.”
To those in foster care Briana wanted to say, “Hang in there, it gets better.” Project LIFE is so proud of Briana and we are excited to see what is in store for her. Keep up the good work and continue striving for your goals, Briana!
