Youth Spotlight: Josh

March 4, 2019

Meet Josh. Josh entered foster care in 2013 and was adopted in 2015. He has a lot to be proud of: he is the first in his biological family to attend high school, he got his learner’s permit, and he has been able to overcome depression. Currently in his junior year in high school, he is looking forward to attending John Tyler Community College, getting a job, and getting his own place when he graduates. When he’s not busy with school, he loves playing video games in his free time.

Josh has been involved with Project LIFE for five years, participating in events and conferences both as an attendee and a panelist. While he was adopted in 2015, he has continued to participate in Project LIFE events. His favorite part of Project LIFE is meeting new people and showing them the ropes at our conferences. In one word, Josh would describe Project LIFE as “dope.” His advice to kids in foster care is to “Go with the flow and everything will be alright.”

We’re so proud of Josh and how he has overcome the odds. Keep up the great work and continue pushing towards your goals, Josh!
