In this region we love to Collaborate as Collaboration Multiplies Impact. We often partner with NAMI – National Alliance on Mental Illness to support our youth’s needs.
Our local branch, Coastal NAMI, has been such a great partner to Project Life and they are always willing to assist with workshop facilitation on a variety of topics from Self-Care to Coping Skills while providing insight into their personal journeys to normalize mental health and to assure the youth that their ok, and that its both good and necessary to reach out for support.
One of our recent collaborations just occurred with the LGBT Life Center in Norfolk, Virginia. They have conducted a workshop, Beyond the Binary, for our youth and provided them with lots of useful information to ensure that we have a better understanding of the community and can all be better allies.
