Soil to Soul

Groove & soothe with gardening to improve your physical health and mood!

Gardening along with music can offer therapeutic benefits that extend beyond the simple acts themselves. It’s very gratifying to plant, tend and harvest plants just as it is to share musical selections and good vibes together. Routines provide structure to our day and are linked to improved mental health. Gardening routines like watering and weeding can create a soothing rhythm to ease stress. Listening to music can also lower stress hormones, blood pressure and heart rate.

Join Project LIFE for a Soul to Soil workshop where we listen to our favorite records as we learn to plant, tend and grow our live house plants together! Project LIFE will provide the plants, bring your favorite records, empty stomachs (dinner provided) and come get your hands dirty for this self-care event!
March 12, 2024, 6:00-8:00pm, UMFS Auditorium. RSVP w/T. Murphy ASAP tmurphy@umfs.org.
